These are Skinwall tyres, NOT cheap heavy gumwall tyres. What's the difference? A gumwall tire has a thick coating of butyl over the sidewall which adds a lot of weight to the tyre. A true skinwall tyre like these which we had custom made for us by Kenda has a minimal amount of translucent butyl over the casing making for a lightweight tyre.
